Welcome back! I hope you enjoyed your first day of class and found some good ways to stay connected with other teachers. We did not get quite as far as intended because of the technology challenges, but we will keep working today on ways to remedy that.
Today we are going to be looking at ways to connect our students. Let's be honest: they're already connected with each other, so the challenge as teachers is how we can use those connections to help them learn.

- Group chat: What is your school's policy towards student devices?
- Reading 2: Are you Listening to Me? Jigsaw activity (each group presents the information and summarizes for the class)
- Use Google Drive to create a collaborative lesson
I really love this class. It has introduced to me many online tools which will really help me improve my teaching skills in the new year. The great thing is the information needed is online and is accessible to teachers over the course of the next school year. To put all this information together took a lot of time and effort. Thanks to Ms. Swark for being awesome!

ReplyDeleteyesterday was great I have learnt quiet a bit on connecting to students and parents using these tools namely padlet, classdojo, classdraft, remind etc thus creating a positive environment for learning and involvement. For my classroom this new school year I will definitely be using the classdojo as a behavioral tool and remind to keep my parents posted on the different events happening at school.
